Our Story
In 2018, Alia Adi, a Swiss foodpreneur with an unwavering passion for the delicate art of macaron-making, began crafting these exquisite treats from her cozy home kitchen in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where she was based at the time. What started as a heartfelt home business quickly blossomed into something much bigger. By 2019, Alia’s dream had taken flight, she moved back to her hometown Fribourg in Switzerland to create Maison Amarella - a macarons company that transcends borders, one flavor at a time. Inspired by Alia’s travels and Middle Eastern heritage, each macaron is a celebration of the world’s variety of cuisines.

From the aromatic rose, dates and saffron of the Middle East to the the rich hazelnut and pistachio pralines of Italy and the traditional raisinée and Bénichon mustard of Switzerland, every bite tells a story.

We use only the finest natural ingredients, free from artificial flavours, colours, and preservatives. Every macaron is crafted with care, ensuring a pure and wholesome experience.
Sugar Reduction:
There is no doubt that a macaron is a sweet treat however, in order to reduce the sugar content of our macarons, we not only use a higher percentage of almonds in our shells but we also use only the purest ingredients in our fillings free from added sugar, such as our nut pastes and fruit purées.

Every macaron is made with the utmost attention to detail, ensuring a perfect balance of texture, flavour, and aroma. We never cut corners, because our customers deserve nothing but the best.
